Busy developing a HTML template for my web pages. I did not have the vision of using a reusable template when this web site is first developed, although I had made some effort to incorporate some flexibilities in HTML pages. Now, I find it difficult to give my web site a face lift.
I knew there are some PHP templates available in the internet. However, it is not difficult to come out with my very own template. It is almost there.
Upgraded my serendipity to version 0.8. By surprise, I have discovered that my blog was attacked. Some idiots were using the trackback feature to link from my blog to some porn sites.
I have disabled the trackback feature since then. Hopefully this will stop these idiots.
The enormous amount of junk mails that I am receiving is really annoying. This is because I was publishing my email address on my web site for visitors to send me their feedbacks. A well meant communication link is being abused.
Hence, I have created a HTML form for visitors to post their questions / comments. The PHP script at the background will send this questions / comments to me. This will definitely prevent the malicious web search engines from finding my email address.
Installed Mambo CMS on my web site for trying its features. This is definitely better than Drupal. I had difficulties understanding how Drupal work. But Mambo is clearly more straight forward.
I am trying this out on Soo Kwan's company site. I wanted the simplest way to build as soon as possible. Also I want the minimum maintenance.
I have upgraded serendipity to version 0.8 beta 6. All this while, the one used for this site is a non-release version. Frankly, I do not know what new features or improvements that have been made. However, it will be more comfortable to use a release version. Unfortunately, this is still a beta version, I will have to do another upgrade next week.
