I have created html2wml converters that convert regular web pages to wap pages on the fly, so that I can view my favourite sites using my mobile phone wherever I go.

The convertors convert HTML tags to WML tags. They also convert GB2312 or Big 5 chacracters to UTF 8 characters, because most phones only support Unicode characters. However, they do not convert JavaScripts to WMLscripts (This will be a huge effort for me). It also will not work for HTML forms. It will not display images.

The converters break long wap pages into parts so that each part will be about 3000 characters. Not all mobile phones support wap pages of this size. I have performed some testing with various phones. The working phones are Motorola V3, Motorola L7, Motorola L6, Motorola L2, Motorola V190, Motorola V191, Motorola V195, Motorola A388, Motorola T720, Motorola E360, Motorola C350, Nokia 6610, Nokia 8310.

If you have doubts with what I have mentioned, use the wapalizer to view Sailor Wap Site first before you try it on your phone. You may see some unrecognizable characters for Chinese links if your phone does not support Chinese characters.
