I took 2 days annual leave since yesterday. I need to clear at least 10 days of leaves before May 4. Unfortunately I ended up working from home. I doubt what is the purpose of having annual leaves at all,
I stole some time to visit Sim Lim square this afternoon. I need improve both my 2 desktop PCs at home. One of them is a DIY pc and the other is Compaq Presario SR1955R that comes free with Starhub subscription.
For some unknown reasons, the Compaq PC is starting up really slowly. I am guesing that it is due to it has only 512 MB RAM. I bought 2G RAM for it. Now it is running much more smoothly.
The problem with my DIY PC is the noise coming from the intel Celeron fan. I cannot bear with the noise any longer. I bought a ThermalTake fan. It has 4 pipes with it. It is difficult to place it on my ASUS motherboard. For all 4 orientations that I have tried, the pipes are touching something on the board. I chose 1 that is touching only a capacitor on the board. Hopefully the capacity will not be heated up.
