I bought a DLink-G730AP router + access point. This is how I found a bug with the WRT54G V5 firmware. The firmware versioin is 1.01.
I connected G730AP to my WRT54G which is connected to the ISP. The G730AP was configured as a router. I expected WRT54G to assign an IP to G730AP. To my surprise, there was no IP assigned. I thought it was the problem with my newly bought G730AP. I tested with my WTR54GS travel router, the same symptom occured. I concluded it is a problem with Linksys firmware.
I searched the internet. There is a thread discussing about this.
